We hope you’re all fully recovered from the mad night of fun last Friday that was Scene Unseen. We’re so thankful to everyone who came out to help us create a night to remember.
With all of 5 rooms open at the massively gorgeous 1015 Folsom nightclub on Friday night, Scene Unseen was a banger for people with eclectic tastes.
Upon entering the club, we found Debaser vs. Pop Scene setting the mood spinning tunes in the front room all night long.
We saw a buzz-worthy lineup of artists downstairs in the basement where our Air Lounge was set up. San Francisco radio personality KM/FM, as well as Elephant and Castle, Dibia$e, and Groundislava, set the tone with some laid-back, dance-worthy beats in the intimate setting of the basement while Air supplied drinks with glow-in-the-dark straws.
A trip upstairs to dance to our house music DJ’s was not to be missed. San Francisco locals Mozaic and D33j got us dancing early in the night, and at midnight we got a taste of Ghosts on Tape, followed by UK native Floating Points and Tyrell. On the other side of the upstairs, American Tripps set up a ping pong table for a good, old-fashioned game of Berlin style ping pong. Guests enjoyed fast-paced games of ping pong in the round, drink in hand.
The Main Room, though, was the place to be when the night picked up. Our Scene Unseen contest winner Blaus kicked the night off, followed by some of our favorite representatives of the San Francisco party scene, Richie Panic, Marco De La Vega, and our co-presenter DJ Dials. When RiFF RaFF took the stage at 1am, things got really crazy. Swagged-out in a neon tracksuit, sunglasses and chains, RiFF RaFF brought almost the entire club to the main room, and everyone was dancing. Our headliner Flosstradamus took things to the next level as they started their set with a hook from Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games”, followed by their pioneered brand of Trap music. An energetic mosh pit developed in front of the stage as people jumped off stage into the crowd. Flosstradamus was without a doubt the highlight of the evening.
After such a fabulous and wild night, we’re looking forward to making Scene Unseen a regular event! Stay tuned to Do415 for more details on the next edition of Scene Unseen, where we bring the best of the newest party genres all in one place.
